The weather forecast for today (Sunday 16th July 2023) indicates challenging conditions which have required the Race Management Group to make changes to the schedule for today. A summary of the changes is below:

  • The 4 heats (races 301 – 304) and time trials (raced 305 – 312) will run as scheduled
  • There will be a change to the original progressions from the 4 heats with the top 3 from each heat progressing to the final
  • There will be no semi-finals at all. For the 2 boat classes where preliminary races were scheduled (OJ16 4+ and WJ18 8+), a random draw will be done for the finals
  • At 10:30am, a decision will be made regarding the minor finals (C, D, E), and announced shortly afterwards
  • 1,000m A/B finals will start at 12:00 (with race 331) and will be raced from the 2,000m line to 1,000m
  • At 11:30, a further announcement will be made and announced regarding the 2,000m finals

The aim of the Organising Committee remains to provide as much safe and fair racing for all competitors as possible.

An updated timetable will be provided via rowresults.co.uk and also via the British Rowing website as soon as possible.
