World Anti-Doping Agency releases 2024 Prohibited List

The WADA Prohibited List designates the substances and methods that are prohibited in sport. From 1 January 2024, this includes in-competition use of Tramadol

Tramadol Banned In-Competition

The prescription painkiller Tramadol will be prohibited in-competition from 1 January 2024. Athletes and support personnel should make themselves aware of the changes, review any medications on Global DRO, and speak with their doctor if required. Athletes may need to apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE).
