British Rowing are on a mission to identify club rowers that have a disability which makes them eligible for Para-Rowing. With the advent of the new Paralympic event for double sculls, athletes can be scullers as well as rowers.

This disability may be so small that club coaches, or even the athlete themselves may not have realised they have a disability; just like double Paralympic champion James Fox. Check out his video below.

We are looking for exceptional, determined, ambitious rowers who may have conditions such as joint restrictions in the ankles or wrists, a visual impairment, erbs/cerebral palsy or any other impairments leading to minor reductions in muscle power or joint range of movement.

Ultimately, if you feel that you have a disability similar to those outlined above, or you know of an athlete who might classify for Para-Rowing based on the conditions outlined,  please contact [email protected] and the Para Team will get back to you.
