Tickets for the Glasgow 2018 European Championships are now on general sale, with your chance to see many of the best athletes from across the continent compete on British soil.

Rowing is one of six sports to take place at the event in Glasgow next August, with the European Rowing Championships set to take place at Strathclyde Country Park between 2-5 August

You can buy tickets from just £10 for adults and £5 for under-16s and over-60s across all of the sports, with 84 sessions of action taking place across 11 days of competition.

Edinburgh rower Karen Bennett, who won silver at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in the women’s eight and bronze at the 2017 European Championships in the pair, is looking forward to the possibility of competing on home waters.

“We’re all really excited to compete in front of a home crowed at Strathclyde Park in 2018. The British public are fanatical about their sport and we’re looking forward to hearing the ‘Glasgow Roar’ as we row down the course in search of a European Championships medal.

“Be sure to buy your tickets now to be in the best seats to cheer us on next year.”

Rowing joins aquatics, cycling, gymnastics, triathlon and golf in the new multi-sport event format, with around 250,000 spectators expected at venues across the city.

Tickets can be purchased from www.glasgow2018.com/tickets and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Book your tickets now and cheer on the GB Rowing Team in Glasgow next year!
