St. Ives Rowing Club hosts Explore League Event
Novice rowers took to the water at St. Ives Rowing Club last weekend, in the second Explore League event to be held this summer.
An all-ladies crew, Bedford B, came out on top showing that it’s grace over grunt as they beat crews from Broxbourne, Isle of Ely and Oundle.
The event, which was sponsored by Swift Racing, comprised 250m side-by-side races and was held within St. Ives’ regular regatta.
“This event’s perfect for us,” said Fiona from Broxbourne, “not too far to travel and not too far to row!”
