Halstead rugby players ready for charity row

Members of the Halstead Templars RFC are undertaking a 120km indoor rowing challenge today (Wednesday 5 October) to raise money for the elderly.

Around 15 members of the rugby club are expected to take part on indoor rowing machines, with proceeds going to the Halstead Day Centre.

The centre offers support to housebound elderly people, ‘where they can socialise and remain stimulated by daily activities.’

The 120km challenge – which is the equivalent of rowing from Halstead to Twickenham, the home of English Rugby – will begin at 6.30pm, at Halstead Leisure Centre.
