Draw announced for Pairs Head of the River

The draw has been announced for the 2011 Pairs Head of the River, with over 400 crews scheduled to take to the River Thames on Saturday 8 October.

The Pairs Head invites coxless pairs and double sculls to race along a 4,000m course downstream, between Chiswick and Hammersmith Bridge on the River Thames, London.

Junior, senior, and masters races are offered in men’s, women’s, and mixed categories, with the first event of the day scheduled to get underway at 2.30pm.

The 2011 event will also – for the first time – feature lightweight events, with Men’s Lightweight IM2 and Women’s Lightweight IM3 categories being added to the busy schedule of racing on Saturday.

The winning crews in each category will receive plaques and lidded pots at a prize-giving at 12.30pm on Sunday 23 October, at the Civil Service Boathouse, Barnes Bridge, London.
