Charlie Shore Regatta returns to Twickenham

West London is set to play host to an entertaining mix of racing, music, and history at the weekend, as the 2011 Twickenham Riverside Regatta gets underway.

The two-day event starts on Saturday 17 September, with an official opening by the Deputy Mayor of Richmond Meena Bond followed by the return of the Charlie Shore Children’s Regatta – which is being brought back to life after a 53-year absence.

The Twickenham riverside will play host to a number of food and drink stalls, live music, and fairground rides throughout the day, ahead of a stand-up paddleboard regatta on Sunday.
