LOCOG announces 2012 Paralympic schedule

The competition schedule for the London 2012 Paralympic Games has been announced, two weeks before tickets go on sale.

With little over one year to go until the 2012 Paralympic Opening Ceremony, the times and venues have been published – with 300 sessions being held across 20 different sports and venues.

The adaptive rowing events, which will be held at the Olympic venue, Eton Dorney, will take place between Friday 31 August and Sunday 2 September.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on September 9th, and will be available for two-and-a-half weeks at www.tickets.london2012.com.

‘With the competition schedule, we want to give the public a chance to have a think about which tickets they would like to apply for and start planning their Games,’ said Lord Coe, Chairman of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG). ‘The superstars of Paralympic sport are coming to the UK next year, and no one should miss out on the action.’

Ticket prices for the London Paralympic Games were announced earlier this year, with a third of tickets costing £5, half less than £10, and three quarters of all tickets will cost less than £20.
