Update on the Olympic Rowing Regatta

Rowng supporters

British Rowing’s supporters are the backbone of our sport and we’re hoping that many of our members will receive the Olympic and Paralympic Games tickets that they apply for.  We know that numbers of you have signed up to volunteer for the two Regattas and are very pleased that you will be taking part in the London 2012 experience that way.  We also know that it looks as if many of us may be disappointed.

British Rowing’s Divisional Representatives, Appointed Members and Regional Chairmen are to receive a presentation from LOCOG’s Director of Rowing, Ann-Louise Morgan, on Tuesday 14th June.  Ann-Louise has said that she is happy to answer members’ questions about ticketing if she can.

If you have read the advice at www.tickets.london2012.com but still have a question that is particular to rowing please email [email protected] (please write ‘ticketholder question’ in the subject bar and send before 10.00 am on Monday 13th June) and we will pass it on.

In the next edition of ‘The Stream’, British Rowing’s membership e-newsletter, we will publish a round-up of answers and other information that arises from the presentation at Council.

Meanwhile why not come along to support top junior rowers from around the world at the World Rowing Junior Championships from 3rd – 7th August 2011 at Eton, Dorney.  Tickets are on sale from www.wrjc2011.com.  It promises to unfold into a compelling championships.
