Competition for the 40th annual event was once again very strong with a number of nail-biting finishes. The Men’s Senior VIII was the closest race with Manchester clearing the finishing line by a mere 0.85 seconds in front of Salford.ADVERT Overall, Manchester won five of the seven races including the Men’s Single sculls (2.6 seconds), Women’s Novice IV (7.9 seconds), Men’s Novice IV (4.7 seconds), Women’s Senior IV (7.4 seconds). Salford took the Women’s Single Sculls (3.7 seconds) and Mixed alumni VIII (2 seconds).
