Team Hallin seeks Crew for new challenge

Crew members wanted – here’s a challenge if you’d like to try your hand at rowing through huge waves and wide open spaces!

David Hosking and Team Hallin recently returned from Barbados after a successful row across the Atlantic when they broke the world record for the fastest ever row across any ocean (though unfortunately they officially lost it again the next day).  You might think David would have been looking forward to a well-earned rest but you would be wrong.

David writes:

“I’m pleased to report that we have now reached half-way in our fundraising target for ‘Combat Stress’ and I’m looking at other ways to raise the remaining £30,000. One way to do this is to have another world record attempt nearer home and to break the record for a non-stop and unsupported row around UK. The distance is 2,020nm and the current world record is held by an Army 4-man crew who went around in just under 27 days a couple of years ago. My present crew wants a little rest so I’m looking to recruit a new crew for this adventure as part of the teams in the Virgin GB Row Challenge 2011 which starts in London on 1st June 2011.”

If you are a suitably experienced oarsman or woman who would be free from 23 May to mid-July this summer, if you would like to race around Britain to raise money for Combat Stress and attempt to gain another world record for Team Hallin, please get in touch with David Hosking by email or via www.teamhallin.co.uk  for a selection interview/trial.
