Mark Hunter and Siemens help celebrate youth achievements

Image of Mark Hunter attending Big Bang Fair

Olympic and World rowing champion Mark Hunter made a guest appearance on the Siemens stand at last week’s Big Bang Fair held at ExCel in London from March 10-12.

The Big Bang Fair was organised by Engineering UK, to celebrate young people’s achievements in science and engineering during 2010 and encourage them to do more with science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) at school and beyond. Siemens, the High Performance Partner of the GB Rowing Team and a world leader in research and development, was a lead sponsor of the event and also an exhibitor with the concept of its stand ‘London – The Sustainable City’.

In the two photographs Mark Hunter learns how to make a wind turbine on the Siemens stand at the Big Bang Fair 2011 and then helps some young visitors to the event to make their own wind turbine.
