The aim of the event is to give junior rowers experience of competition in a fun and relaxed manner away from the pressures of larger, senior focussed regatta’s. The event is on a safe and secure body of water with plenty of attractions and amusements nearby for the non-rower. The Splash and Dash Regatta is just one of a number of sporting and cultural events being held over the weekend of the 23-24 July in Doncaster by DMBC Tourism.ADVERT Event All rowing events are raced over a 400m course on the Lake at the Lakeside complex, Doncaster. (Search for Lakeside Boulevard, Doncaster on Google Maps UK). Easy access from M18. Events are offered for all boat categories but prizes will only be awarded where there are 2 or more crews in a particular category. There are 3 Divisions with a limit of 60 boats per division: Division 1: 10:00 am – J12 and J13 Division 2: 12:15 pm – J14 and J15 Division 3: 14:30 pm – J16, Entries Entries and payments will be accepted through the British Rowing online entry system or by cheque (made payable to Doncaster Schools Rowing Association). Entries close at 3:00pm on Saturday, 16th July and all cheque payments must be received by Wednesday, 20th July 2011. Entry fees All events: £2.50 per seat.
