Cardiff and Swansea contest Welsh Varsity
Cardiff and Swansea take to the water on Wednesday 30 March for the 6th annual Welsh Varsity Boat Race on the river Taff. The crews will race over 1800 metres from University Stone at Brains Brewery to the Cardiff Bay Water Activity Centre.
The race is always a fierce battle as each university vies for Welsh Varsity glory. The overall match has been won each of the five years by Cardiff but Swansea has taken the all important senior men’s trophy for the previous two seasons.
