157th Boat Race Saturday 26 March at 5pm

The 157th Boat Race takes place on Saturday, 26 March 2011 at 17:00.

Enjoy the festival atmosphere of Saturday’s Boat Race by watching for free from one of the many vantage points along the course. You should be able to find a place to watch on either side of the river along the full length of the course, but particular areas to note are:

  • At the start: Putney Bridge, Putney Embankment, Bishops Park
  • Mid course: Hammersmith, Barnes
  • At the finish: Dukes Meadows, Chiswick Bridge

There will be large screens at Bishops Park, Fulham and Furnival Gardens which mean you will be able to watch the whole Race before and after the crews have passed.

If you are not able to head to the Thames, than BBC1 will be showing the Boat Race live in the UK, including build up from 3:45pm, visit www.bbc.co.uk for more information.

The Race will also be available to watch on: BBC America (USA), Supersport (Pan-Africa), RAI (Italy), Eurosport (Pan-Europe),and Eurosport Asia (Pan-Asia). BBC World News will feature the Race from 16:30 GMT until 17:30 GMT.
