Volunteers needed for the Womens Eight Head

The Women’s Eight Head are on the hunt for some amazing volunteers to help out on race day 19th March Saturday.

10 x Putney Embankment Land Marshalls

No prior experience is required, but a polite encouraging style of communication is ideal. You will be stationed along the Putney Embankment ensuring the free flow of public and racing personnel. The organising committee anticipate needing people for shifts throughout the day from 10am to
5:30pm. It is a great place to watch the excitement from and close
enough for a coffee and shopping after your shift.

If you would like to help please contact Guin Batten by email [email protected] or Jane Crump [email protected]

6 x Timing team members

The team is fully briefed and trained on the day so no prior experience is necessary. You will be stationed at any one of the four timing markers (Chiswick, Barnes, Hammersmith, Putney) but please feel free to indicate your preference when getting in touch. The team is also rewarded with free refreshments on the day as a small thank you for giving up your time.

If you would like to help time the event this year then please contact the Chief Timekeeper, Keith Settle by email at [email protected]. The race starts at 15:30, therefore a 2pm briefing at Mortlake Boat Club and a 17:30 finish are anticipated.
