The BUCS PriceWaterhouse Cooper Fours and Eights Head attracted a record number entries for the 2011 event which took place in Peterborough on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 February.

The Beginners Head, for students who have started rowing this academic year, was raced on Saturday whilst on Sunday the course was  extended for the more experienced Championship and Intermediate crews.

The event saw some highly competitive racing along the River Nene from the 45 crews entered.  Amongst the university crews were many rowers who have previously represented Great Britain and also several who recently took part in the GB Rowing Team trials at Dorney Lake.

Both divisions for the Beginners Head which ran over a 2500m course on Saturday have seen an increase in entries, reflecting the growing number of students taking up rowing at University. Clubs with a noticeable large number of entries in the Beginner events include Edinburgh, Worcester and University of West of England (UWE).

The results are available from the BUCS website.
