Andy Ripley OBE, has died

Andy Ripley, who just four weeks ago received an OBE for his services to Sport, has died aged 62.

Andy was an International rugby player and an all-round sportsman.  He took up rowing when he returned to university in the 1990’s and, aged 50, narrowly missed out on a place in the Cambridge Boat Race crew.  He was a world record holder for indoor rowing and will be missed by all his friends in rowing, particularly by members of Tideway Scullers School where he was President.

Tideway Scullers will post information on their website
