The event, which took place at Dart Totnes RC, once again saw a record entry, with 63 crews from seven clubs, competing over three divisions in various events from J14 up to J16. The wins were shared between Dart Totnes (11), Plymouth (4), Kingsley (2), Exeter (1), Castle Dore (1) and Torquay (1). From here selections will be made for the regional team, who will travel to Nottingham to compete against the other 11 British Rowing regions in April.ADVERT Standout performance of the day came from Kerswell-Jensen and Rowe of Dart Totnes, who won the J15 2x, posting the fastest time of the day in the process. They are likely to be the region’s best hope of a medal at the Junior Inter Regional Regatta in April. Also worthy of mention are the Women’s J15 2x of Cudmore and Dinsdale from Torquay, who recorded the club’s first ever win at the event. The closest race of the day came in the MJ154x+ where Kingsely and Plymouth dead heated over the 1500m course. A row-off is now likely to be required to finalise which of these two crews will represent the West region in Nottingham. Time trial results A big thank you goes to all the volunteers who helped with the smooth running of the event. Report from Tom Pattichis Coaching and Development Team Leader – West Region ADVERT
