The diversity of rowing is really demonstrated this weekend when spectators have a great variety of rowing events to support at home and abroad:

2009 World Rowing Masters Regatta (Vienna)

5th European Universities Sports Association (EUSA) Rowing Championships (Goplo Lake, Poland)

Great Britain is represented by a strong student squad encompassing 120 competitors from 18 British universities.  You can follow their progress on Twitter 

The Great River Race (London)

A spectacular event attracting around 300 crews from all over the globe, this race is fast becoming known as ‘London’s River Marathon’.  Crafts of all shapes and sizes in ‘fixed seat’ rowing boats.

The 22 mile race starts at 11:10am on Saturday in London Docklands and finishes in Ham, Richmond.  View the website for further details.

ARA Lake District Tour
