Joan Filkins

British Rowing is sad to report the death of Joan Filkins of Weybridge Rowing Club.

Known to many as ‘Filk’ Joan began her long association with rowing with the Savings Bank Ladies RC.

There will be a Service of Thanksgiving at St Mary’s Parish Church in Hampton at 2:30pm on Friday 2nd October which will be followed by tea and cake in the church hall.  It is intended to be a celebratory affair and the family would like to welcome as many people as possible who knew Joan Filkins.
