BUCS announce new 3-year partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers

The national organisation for university sport, British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) today announced a new, three-year partnership with leading professional services firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC).

The relationship builds on PwC’s commitment to the development of skills and experience through sport for young people.

With BUCS, PwC will be working with 10 UK universities in year one of the partnership to deliver a series of workshops focused on the skills and attributes students develop by playing or managing sport at university.

The Skills through Sport project is specifically designed for students who are passionate about sport and will focus on the employability skills that are inherent on the pitch and much desired in the workplace. Sessions will include teamwork, leadership, coaching others, finance and project management and motivating teams. Volunteers from PwC will coach and mentor students at the universities as part of the firm’s Community Affairs programme.
