Durham ARC rower picked for Youth Olympics
Congratulations to John Preston (pictured above) who has been chosen to take part in the Festival. John is a member of Durham ARC and rows for Reading University. He was seventh in the men’s pair at the 2008 World U23 Championships in the summer and sixth in the Men’s 4x- at the 2007 World Junior Championships.

Team GB athletes have arrived in Sydney for the 5th Australian Youth Olympic Festival (AYOF) which runs until 18th January. 120 British athletes aged between 13 -19 years will compete across 11 Olympic sports.
