Olympic Rower speaks at UK Sport Performance Lifestyle conference

UK Sport’s Performance Lifestyle (PL) team welcomed PL Advisers working with Olympic and Paralympic sports, as well as rugby and cricket, to their PL Annual Conference yesterday, to encourage debate and reflection around the theme of ‘athlete legacy’.

…The second panel session featured British rower, Tom James, who is hoping to compete in the men’s coxless four boat this summer in Beijing. James shared his reflections on transitions he has experienced throughout his life as an athlete, including completing his degree at Cambridge University and taking time out from rowing, and also his future career aspirations when he retires from sport.
