Success for Gill Prescott at World Indoor Championships
Gill Prescott of Durham Amateur Rowing club has brought home yet another gold medal, this time from the World Indoor Rowing Championships held in Boston, USA on 24th Feburary 2008. Gill’s world class time in the Women’s 50-54 category was 7:20.6 and this gruelling competition was a 2000 metre battle.
Congratulations must go to Gill and her coach Geoff Graham. In addition to this latest success, Gill has also won gold medals recently at the British, Scottish and European Indoor Rowing Championships. Gill’s participation in these events is made possible by way of a sponsorship deal by William Hill bookmakers.
