The Regional Development Programme provides opportunities for rowers (with or without their coach) and coaches (with or without rowers) based in the following geographical areas to apply to attend a series of four Regional Development Camps with athletes and coaches on other England Pathway programmes within the wider GB Athlete Development Pathway:

  • East Midlands (Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Lincoln and Boston)
  • South West (Gloucester down to Penzance)
  • North West (Lancashire down to Stoke on Trent)
  • Yorkshire (River Tees and Yorkshire Region).

British Rowing England Pathway Manager James Andrews said, “The Regional Development Programme is a great opportunity for rowers and coaches from the North West, Yorkshire, South West and East Midlands to help boost their development and potentially one day to row for Great Britain. Participants will row alongside other talented athletes and gain valuable experience with our team of experienced satellite coaches who are keen to create a strong community of performance development in each region.”

Applications for the 2023-24 season are now open and close at 9am on Monday, 9 October 2023.
