Athlete Entries open for the World Rowing Coastal Championships and Beach Sprint Finals

The event will be hosted by British Rowing and Welsh Rowing over the weekends of 7-9 October and 14-16 October, bringing this exciting rowing format to the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline.

Athlete entries are now open for the World Rowing Coastal Championships and Beach Sprint Finals, taking place in Saundersfoot on the stunning Welsh coast.

The event will feature two types of coastal rowing – long distance the first weekend (4k and 6k) and beach sprints the second weekend.

World Rowing Coastal Championships

7 – 9 October

There will be seven event categories in the 2022 World Rowing Coastal Championships

  • CM1x and CW1x (Solos)
  • CM2x, CW2x, CMix2x (Doubles)
  • CM4x+ and CW4x+ (Coxed Quads)

Entry Deadline: 9 September 2022

World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals

14 – 16 October

There will be nine event categories in the 2022 World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals.

Senior events:

  • CM1x and CW1x (Solos)
  • CMix2x (Doubles)
  • CMix4x+ (Coxed Quads)

Under 19 events:

  • CJM1x and CJW1x (Solos)
  • CJM2x, CJW2x and CJMix2x (Doubles)

Entries can only be made by Member Federations directly through the World Rowing Database. Due to the complex tidal movement teams are not encouraged to double up as the race schedule may change.
