Education & Training update

With the return to rowing and gradual relaxation of lockdown restrictions, we’re gearing up our education and training programme ready for a busy year

In March last year, our education and training programme was suspended in light of coronavirus restrictions. As we start to return to rowing, we are also getting plans in place to get this programme back up and running. As well as ensuring those who were mid-way through their training can now complete, we are also opening up new courses ready for the summer.

Resumption of assessments

If you were waiting on an assessment to complete a course when the first lockdown hit, you should have now been contacted by our team to help schedule this to allow you to complete your training. If you have not been contacted, please email [email protected] and we’ll be delighted to get your assessment organised.

Session and Club Coach (Level 2) courses

For those looking to start their journey as a qualified coach, we are working with our coach education workforce to set up courses in the spring and summer (the first course is now available to book at the London Docklands centre in July). Some of these courses will be in a new blended learning format allowing you to complete some of the theory elements of the course online before attending a practical module. We will be adding more courses over the coming weeks so please keep an eye out on the courses calendar for more details.

Senior Club Coach (Level 3) and Advanced Coach (Level 4) courses

If you are already a qualified coach and are looking to further develop your coaching skills, we will be running our Level 3 and Level 4 courses this year. You can find out more about both courses and whether they might be right for you by joining one of the online events below:
