This year, the River Tyne is the home of the BUCS 4s and 8s Head Championships. From 2021, the event is looking for a new home.

Across two days, 500 crews take to the water for time trial head racing over three and five kilometres to determine the BUCS’ Champions. It recognises the best UK university rowing teams and also showcases the beginner and intermediate levels in the sport.

BUCS is on the lookout for a host organisation to deliver a safe and enjoyable experience for competitors. BUCS Rowing will work closely with the host organisation and will lead on the running of the event.

Details on the requirements of hosting the event can be found in the Event Criteria document.

If your organisation is interested in hosting BUCS 4s and 8s Head from 2021 to 2023, BUCS recommend attending the upcoming event on 22 and 23 February 2020 to see how it operates. Find event details here.

Deadline is Thursday 5 March 2020, and all completed bid questionnaires are to be sent to Ryan Koolen.
