Entries are now open to the British Rowing Masters Championships, sponsored by Visit Sarasota County.

The event, which is open to Masters rowers (aged 27+), will be held at the National Water Sports Centre, Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham from Saturday, 16 to Sunday, 17 June.

Last year, 940 Masters crews from across the country took part in the British Rowing Masters Championships. There was plenty of close and exciting racing for the crowds that lined the river bank to get behind, as well as a busy retail village off the water.

Visit Sarasota County will return to the National Water Sports Centre once again as sponsor of the British Rowing Masters Championships.

Sarasota-Bradenton in Florida, USA, hosted a hugely successful World Rowing Championships last year, and is currently preparing to hold the World Rowing Masters Regatta in September.

Chris Anton, Chairman of the Organising Committee said: “It is brilliant to have the support of Visit Sarasota County once again for the British Rowing Masters Championships. This year we are looking to further build on the record number of entries seen in 2017 to make this the biggest and best Masters Championships to date. I encourage all Masters rowers to get their entries in early to ensure you can secure a seat.”

Virginia Haley, President of Visit Sarasota County, added: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the British Rowing Masters Championships in June, as we gear up to host the World Rowing Masters Regatta in Sarasota County this September. We look forward to meeting everyone in Nottingham, answering any questions that people may have about our destination or rowing venue, and hope to welcome some of the Masters crews to the Sunshine State later this year.”
