Stuart Clarke appointed GB Rowing Team Media Manager

Stuart Clarke steps into the position formerly held by Caroline Searle and the Matchtight agency, as the GB Rowing Team prepares for Tokyo 2020

British Rowing is pleased to announce the appointment of Stuart Clarke as the Media Manager for the GB Rowing Team ahead of the 2017 international season.

Clarke takes over the role held by Caroline Searle and the Matchtight agency for the past 15 years, with responsibility for increasing the media profile of the GB Rowing Team in the build up to and during the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Following several years working in sports journalism, Clarke joined the British Rowing communications and marketing team in October 2016. He has previously worked for Cycling Weekly and Sportsbeat, as well as being part of the British Olympic Association’s communications team at Rio 2016.

He said of his appointment: “This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the most successful group of athletes in British sport. Great Britain cemented its place as the world’s leading rowing nation at the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games and I’m looking forward to working with such dedicated and hardworking athletes, coaches and support staff.”

Sir David Tanner, Performance Director of British Rowing, added: “I’m looking forward to working closely with Stuart in the coming years to further grow rowing’s stature on the national media landscape.
