Join sports clubs across the country in organising an event to say a #BigThankYou to your volunteers on 17 or 18 December

Volunteers are the lifeblood of any sport, not least rowing. Without the numerous volunteers that give up their spare time throughout the year, much of what the rowing community does wouldn’t be possible.

That’s why we’re encouraging clubs to join the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s campaign to say a #BigThankYou to the wonderful men and women up and down the country who allow us to get so much out of our sport.

So, why not join forces with other sports in saying thanks to the volunteers with an event on 17 or 18 December? This will coincide with the BBC Sports Personality of the Year, when sports stars will be invited to call volunteers to thank them for their amazing contribution to sport.
