Italy to host Fixed-Seat European Cups
The Fixed-Seat Italian Rowing Federation is set to host two Fixed-Seat European Cups in September and October, with a number of offers available to entrants including free boat-hire and accommodation.
On September 26-27th, the port of Savona will play host to the first of the two international events – a European Cup for Gozzi rowing. Then on 11-12 October at Reno di Leggiuno, Lombardy, a European Cup will be held for “jole a lariana a 4” – traditional Italian lake boats for four rowers and a cox.
Opportunities to train in the Italian boats, under the guidance of Italian coaches, will be available ahead of each event, with qualifying and finals ensuring that each competing crew can take part in a number of races.
As well as a number of races against international competition, the Organising Committees of both events are offering the following to participating crews:
- Transfer to and from the airport
- Free boat hire
- Friday dinner and Saturday lunch
- Post-race party on Saturday
