Beds and Luton School Games

Running as a RowAbility event for only its second year, the Beds and Luton School Games grew to 70 competitors for 2014. Teams race in both individual and team formats with individual events formed on competitor ability levels.

In the top class (Class 1) it was an Ivel Valley 1,2,3 with Scott Barker leading his teammates and taking the win from Shane Ambrose and Brandon Stokes-Jackson in second and third respectively.

Class 2, for mid-tier competitors, was a bit more of a mix. Daniel Morris (Henlow Academy) topped the tables winning the event, with Karne Asher (St Johns) in second and Sam Harley Ivel Valley) just holding on to third place with only two meters separating him and Adam Martin (Parkfields Middle School).

In Class 3, Nick Morley (Ivel Valley) took top spot from Bradley Dickinson (Parkfields) and Bethany Smith (Ivel Valley).

In the team relays, the Ivel Valley rowers showed that their individual performances where not a one-off, with their teams topping the KS3 event head of Henlow and Parkfields and taking a 1,2 in the KS4&5 event just head of the Grange School in third.
