Olympians to support Wycliffe charity row

Olympians Bill Barry and Alan Campbell are both backing Row4Rob –  a sponsored row by members and friends of Wycliffe College Boat Club on Saturday (June 21st).

The event will see current and former members of the boat club complete a 16 mile sponsored row from the Wycliffe College boathouse near Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, in order to raise funds for former Wycliffe College pupil and rower Rob Camm.

Rob was a successful and popular oarsman for the club, winning medals at National level and at many local regattas. After completing his A-levels at Wycliffe College in July 2012 and then enjoying a gap year, Rob was involved in a terrible accident which left him paralysed from the neck down and reliant on a ventilator to breathe.

Rob is determined to rebuild his life as far as he is able, and Row4Rob is one of several fund-raising events that Wycliffe College are organising to help make a difference to Rob’s mobility and communication.

More information on Rob’s story can be found at www.cammpaign4rob.co.uk
