Alcohol Licence Fee consultation ends soon
The Home Office has launched a public consultation proposing a change to how alcohol licence fees are set. In a move to enable local authorities to recoup the costs associated with licensing the proposal would see a move from centrally set annual fees to a higher cap set by the local authority.
This could lead to an increase in licence fees for some clubs with bars selling alcohol. The Sport & Recreation Alliance has met with the Home Office to oppose any proposed increases.
Clubs are invited to have their say before 10th April, this can be done via an online form on the Home Office website. Further details can be found on the Sport & Recreation Alliance website and the full consultation document can be accessed on the Home Office website.
