Norwich RC Invites Clubs to Train and Race

In response to races being cancelled across the UK, Norwich RC has issued an open invitation for any rowing clubs affected by the recent inclement weather to train, race and row with them on the River Yare.

The Yare, which has remained mostly unaffected by the recent flooding, boasts 35 kilometers of uninterrupted river to the sea, and has minimal traffic – making it the ideal location for training and racing.

Nick Francis, Norwich RC Chairman said: “We have been able to continue our programme of training for this rowing season. We are sorry that other clubs have had their training disrupted by the floods, and would welcome visiting clubs to train with us on the River Yare.

“Norwich RC is also hosting the Norwich Head on March 1st, and we would like to invite clubs who perhaps have not had the opportunity to race this season a chance to try out our 5km course.”

Clubs that are interested in either training with Norwich RC or racing on the 1st March should visit www.norwichrowingclub.co.uk/events.
