Leads Rowing Community A Boat Race with a Twist Fancy flying the flag for your Club on the Thames on Boat Race day? The RNLI has come up with a novel Alternative Boat Race for rowing clubs – a race between 250 model lifeboats. Your club can take part by sponsoring your own lifeboat, which will be decked out in your very own club colours. Watch the start from the river bank, join the finish line party at the London Apprentice Pub or track the race’s progress online.ADVERT There’s no entry fee to take part, all you have to do is fundraise a minimum of £1,000 which will be split 50:50 between the RNLI and your club.
