Alton RC to host first Autumn Head
Entries are now being accepted for the inaugural Alton Autumn Head, which is being held at Alton Water, near Ipswich, for the first time on November 23rd.
Rowed over a course of 3200 metres, this is a fully-affiliated British Rowing event open to all clubs – with racing on offer for rowers of all levels of ability and in a range of boat sizes.
Two divisions will be held at 10.30 am and 2pm. As a new venue, it is a great opportunity to compete for the first time on a stunning stretch of non-tidal water in the beautiful Suffolk Countryside.
All facilities are available for crews including hot showers and a cafe. In addition, free masterclasses will be held on various subjects such as Injury Prevention, Massage for Rowers and Nutrition.
Entries can be made on line through the British Rowing On-line entry system and are £9 per seat. Further information is available at altonrowingclub.com/autumn-head and from Alton Rowing Club at [email protected].
