The scheme is a new joint venture, with British Rowing working alongside Canoe England and the Youth Sport Trust to form joint indoor and on-the-water activity programs for young people at nine ‘Hub Schools’.ADVERT These schools will be supported to develop offers for both sports, in both an indoor and on-the-water environment, raising awareness and providing access to watersports in local communities. The Prince William School launch event included both an indoor rowing event and indoor kayaking challenge, and was attended by five schools from the local area. Over 70 young people got to try their hand on both indoor rowing and indoor kayaking machines, in what is hoped will be one of many joint indoor regattas throughout the scheme’s schools.
