Support Men’s Health – Mo Mo Mo Your Boat!

Movember is back with a bang on Friday, and Olympic legacy charity Join In is doing its bit to encourage rowers across the UK to help change the face of men’s health.

Following the success of the Join In Summer, Join In are activating their national network of sports clubs and volunteers to grow a moustache and get active in November.

As well as raising funds and awareness to help fight prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health issues, rowers and rowing clubs taking part in Movember will receive a ‘Join In with Movember’ pack and will be able to enter competitions throughout the month.

“Movember has become a fixture in the calendar and this year’s initiative to extend its great work by encouraging more people to get active is superb; we are thrilled to be supporting them,” said Join In’s Director of Sport, Olympian and 3000m record holder Dave Moorcroft, who will be leading the Join In Movember effort. “This summer we helped to host over 12,000 events getting more people involved in their local sports clubs, keeping the volunteering spirit of London 2012 alive. So I’m calling on sports clubs up and down the country to grow a mo and help us get more people leading healthier lifestyles.”

Join In is funded by the Big Lottery Fund, government grant and by Official Partner BT.
