Primary Service for Clubs

In launching our new Primary Service for Clubs (PSC), we hope to improve the information and advice that we provide to you about developing your club. Your regional rowing council will also be an excellent source for advice and information. They have a particular role in working with their member clubs to develop sound organisation and good governance, and providing opportunities to share best practice. www.britishrowing.org/clubs/regions

The aim of the PSC will be to provide a consistent level of advice and information about rowing development and coaching to all British Rowing affiliated clubs and clubs of British Rowing Associated Organisations.

ADVERT

Information about affiliation, membership, event organisation etc. will continue to be accessed through the HQ staff team, contacts on the website www.britishrowing.org/contact and in Club Stream.

Each club has a nominated club liaison from our Whole Sport Plan (WSP) staff as their first point of contact. Where further specialist advice and support is required, another member of the team will be asked to contact you directly, e.g. Facility Development, Explore Rowing, Education & Training.

Find out who your club liaison is by visiting www.britishrowing.org/clubs/liaison-contact. This information will also be available on Club Management in the coming weeks.

Where possible advice and support will be provided via email and telephone, and by the club liaisons making themselves available for personal consultation at particular local, regional and national events attended by the clubs, e.g. regattas, regional rowing council quarterly meetings. CLub liaisons will also provide regular email updates to their clubs.

Where clubs are working on specific WSP projects an enhanced service will be provided by staff as appropriate.

The main channels of information will be the quarterly publication of Club Stream, easily circulated to members of your Committee, and by our new online Club Handbook on the Clubs section of the British Rowing website.

We would be delighted to receive feedback from you about the Club Handbook, and also any other comments you may have about developing your club.

With kind regards and best wishes to you and your club.

Yours sincerely,

Rosemary Napp
Development Director
