Record entry for BR Masters Champs

Entries for the British Rowing Masters Championships closed on Wednesday (8th May), with organisers revealing that a record entry of 742 crews.

The Championships are set to take place on Sunday 19th May at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham, and crews will now go into a draw to decide who will be able to compete.

“The Organising Committee is very pleased to announce yet another record entry,” said Paddy Ibbotson, “this time of 742 crews (last year’s record entry was 665.

“Unfortunately, though, it will be impossible to fit all these crews into one day’s racing and some will have to be rejected – in line with the Championship Rules.

“The draw will take place on Saturday 11th May, and will be posted on the British Rowing Masters Championships website on the evening of Sunday 12th May.”
