Take on the River Tyne this summer
Details for the 2013 Great Tyne Row (GTR) have been released, with this year’s row set to take place on Saturday 17th August.
Participating rowers will take on an ambitious 25km course from Newburn to Tynemouth, passing beneath Newcastle’s iconic bridges and finishing with a barbecue on the beach.
Entries are now open for mixed, women’s and open crews in coxed stable boats (including coastal boats, skiffs and gigs).
Whether your ambition is to race the other crews against the clock or simply aim to complete the challenging course, the GTR has something for everyone and costs just £20 per seat when booked before 30th June 2013. Seats booked from 1st July 2013 will cost £30 each.
