Sea Cadets to row around the world in 80 hours
Sea Cadets from across the UK will be attempting to row the circumference of the world (24,900 miles) in 80 hours between 18 April and 21 April 2013, raising vital funds needed to help them replace their tallship TS Royalist.
Coinciding with an attempt by the Sea Cadet HQ team – who will be rowing a Trinity 500 along the canal network from Abingdon to the Thames – cadets from some of 400 UK units will be taking to rowing machines at approved British Rowing Clubs to help reach the target.
Some Sea Cadet units will be getting in touch with their local rowing clubs for assistance with indoor rowing machines – if you would like to get involved and help the Sea Cadets raise money for the New Ship Appeal, please contact [email protected].
