Changes to Home International Regatta selection

The 50th annual Home International Regatta will be held on Cardiff Bay, Wales from 9.30am on Saturday 21st July 2012.

Following changes to the programme of the British Rowing Championships, selection for the Senior England team will be considered after taking into account performances over a number of other regattas.

The results of BRC finals in Men’s and Women’s Senior sculls, coxless pairs and coxed fours and Lightweight sculls and coxless pairs will however remain the foremost consideration in selecting these boats for the England team.

The selection of Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s coxless fours, open and lightweight double scull will be at the discretion of the selectors upon consideration of results immediately preceding the Regatta.

Due to restrictions on team size, athletes competing in the eight and quad scull will once again be drawn from those competing in other events.

The Junior team will be selected as usual according to performances at the BRC, with the exceptions of the Junior Men’s and Junior Women’s eight and coxed four (rule change for 2012).

If you have not already done so, you must inform the Team Manager in writing of your wish to be considered for selection (address below).  Please state the names, contact details and nationalities of all of your crew (including club names where composite crews are to be considered), a brief resume of your notable results this season and any events you will be entering at Henley Royal Regatta or BRC. This information will be passed to the selectors who will base their selections upon the information given and performances at these events.
