New headline sponsor for Wallingford Regatta
Wallingford Rowing Club has revealed the new headline sponsor for the 2012 Wallingford Regatta – sports nutrition company Science in Sport (SiS).
The agreement will see SiS supply sports nutrition requirements, information and advice to competitors at Wallingford’s annual regatta, which takes place on Sunday 6th May at Eton Dorney.
Ben Townsend, Wallingford Regatta Chairman, said: “This is a great opportunity for Wallingford and SiS, and we’re delighted to be working in partnership with them. We’ve been approached before by brands but none we felt suitable. Nutrition is a key part of training and competing and we strongly believe SiS has a lot to offer to those taking part at the regatta.”
SiS is also the official supplier of sports drinks and nutrition to the GB Rowing Team, and is recognised as a world leader in sports nutrition.
Stephen Moon, Managing Director at SiS added: “We’re delighted to be working with Wallingford Regatta and for SiS to become an integral part of the day for all the competitors. The business is making enormous progress in endurance sport, rowing in particular. We are looking forward to an exciting period in the sport where we can demonstrate even more strongly our credibility as the leaders in sports nutrition.”
