Evesham Regatta cancelled

The 2012 Evesham Regatta has been cancelled, with torrential rain causing unsafe conditions on the River Avon.

‘The decision has not been taken lightly,’ Regatta organisers announced in a statement on Evesham Rowing Club’s website. ‘This is the only time this year we would not have been able to run, but safety has to be the overriding factor.’

The club will begin issuing refunds as soon as possible, and hopes to reschedule the popular event – which is one of the highlights of the Adaptive Rowing calendar.
