New winter record for Nottingham Rowing Club

Nottingham Rowing Club has broken its winter record after a pennant-laden trip to Lincoln Head of the River on Sunday 11th March.

A balmy spring day on the River Witham saw Nottingham victories in the IM1.2x, IM1.1x, W.IM2.2x, W.IM2.1x, Nov.1x, W.Nov.1x, and MasDE.8+.

The club’s seven pennants in Lincoln took its winter total to 62 wins for the winter; beating the previous record of 58 set in the 2009/10 season.

‘The Club is very proud of this achievement,’ said Club President Keith Atkinson.

‘If this rate of wins continues until September 2012, we will top 1,000 trophies for the first time since our foundation in 2006 – when the Nottingham Boat Club and Nottingham Britannia Rowing Club merged. All credit to our athletes and their hard working coaches.’
